Have you seen the beautiful sunsets of Costa Rica? It is just a few square miles smaller than West Virginia and according to reports done on this country, you can find amazing amount of beauty and tranquility in this one small place. Interesting to note that the Costa Ricans have an uncanny passion for life and the ability to relax.
This tiny country is home to 5% of the World’s biodiversity which is quite amazing when you consider it’s size. There are 26 national parks and protected areas you can visit in Costa Rica which probably helps explain this. Admire the great Ocean views here where the Caribbean Sea is located on one side and the Pacific Ocean in the other. The Caribbean side offers tranquil moments basking in the warm sun and beautiful sunsets while the other side offers large waves for some hot heart stopping action for the adventurous soul.
There is plenty to see and explore in Costa Rica. This is the haven for the noisy and colorful macaws, leatherback turtles and morpho butterflies. You can enjoy rainforest tours and indulge in an adventurous jungle safari trip. See the wonders of the migrating whale, amaze yourself with the variety of dolphins available and sea turtles that cross the coastline during certain times of the year.
If you want to visit volcanoes then drive to the northern part of the where the Arenal, an active volcano, can be viewed. The other volcano is located at the midpoint and there is another at the southern end of this country. The country is rich in flora and much of the variegated crops are concentrated along the volcano areas, where the lava from past eruptions creates a very conducive spot for plantation. Costa Rica attracts tourists from all over the world who often find it exceptionally pleasing to soak up the sun on the beaches of this lovely island.
The best time to visit Costa Rica would be right after Christmas, where the dry weather will start all through April but May marks the start of a long rainy season right through November. It is only a few miles from the equator, so select the right time to vacation here. Be alert to any possible disasters and select your tour guide carefully as there are stories of Americans getting lost in foreign lands because they followed a group that they did not know well. It pays to do your homework about Costa Rica in advance to gather all relevant information and plan your visit accordingly.
